Location

Brazil is a country that borders the Atlantic Ocean, occupying approximately half of the area of South America. The total area of Brazil is 8,514,215 km² (3,287,357 sq. mi). This includes several islands in the Atlantic Ocean as well. The United States has a land mass that is faintly larger than Brazil. Brazil has many countries bordering it's western coast which include Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, Colombia, Suriname, Guyana and French Guiana. The eastern Atlantic coastline of Brazil stretches 7,367 kilometers.
